Raining. Concluded. |
[Note:—The children, seated around the table, pound very gently on the underside of the table, to imitate the distant rumbling of thunder; then, in a listening attitude, sing "Listen! etc." At "rumble, rumble, etc.," imitate thunder as before
At " lightning," clap the bands sharply once, and immediately at " flash " draw a zigzag in the air.
At "heavy are the clouds," the bands, outstretched to represent clouds, sink gradually lower, until " Down comes, etc.," when the motion, of falling rain is imitated.
At "pitter, patter." tap gently on the table with the tinger ends, to imitate the sound of the rain; at " drip, drip, drip," only three times.] |
